ISO 22301: the requirements, the BIA and DORA

ISO 22301 is the certifiable standard for a business continuity management system, and its work runs in a fixed order: understand the context and fix a scope, run a business impact analysis that sets how long each activity can be down, choose solutions that meet those times, write the plans, prove them in exercises, then audit and review the whole. No regulation names the standard, but DORA, NIS2 and APRA's CPS 230 all ask for the outcomes it produces, which is why financial entities and digital service providers build their continuity evidence on it. This hub starts with the requirements clause by clause, goes deep on the business impact analysis, and ends with where DORA adds to a BCMS.
