Central Bank of Ireland: conduct, fitness and accountability

Firms the Central Bank of Ireland regulates answer to two sets of duties at once: conduct rules for the firm, led by the Consumer Protection Code 2025, and personal rules for the people who run it, through fitness and probity and the Individual Accountability Framework. How much of each applies depends on the type of firm. Payment and e-money institutions, for example, carry only the parts of the Code that Regulation 9 lists and sit outside SEAR, but carry the Conduct Standards and yearly certification in full. The pages below start with the Code and then move to the people.
